photographer. adventurer. observer.

Sarah Twitchell’s desire to fill her life with first-hand experiences embedded in foreign and unfamiliar cultures has led her to embark on countless trips all over the globe, for sometimes months at a time, capturing the subtle beauty and intriguing moments of the world as she wanders through it. Throughout her work, Sarah portrays a journalistic and unfiltered style which allow her images to tell a story far beyond that split second moment in time.

Sarah fine-tuned her training with Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco, “On Assignment” with National Geographic, and the Santa Fe Photography Workshop in New Mexico. For many years Sarah ran her own boutique photography business photographing portraits for corporate and individual clients. Her work has been featured in numerous global publications, websites, and in galleries in San Francisco. Sarah is honored to have been selected by Getty Images as “Exclusive Photographer” for nearly a decade. One the most defining moments in her life as a human being, and as a photographer, was when she spent a month volunteering in Nepal as a documentary photographer with NEIO.org. She will always hold that experience and those images closest to her heart.

She shoots with a Leica M9P and a Leica 50/1.4 Leica Summilux-M lens, which very rarely leave her side.
